Oh so very slightly, that if you get him started now with the right set up, he should grow nice and smooth. Toms threads are below in my post. This is the way you should get him set up and growing smooth.
It's really not bad at all. You just need to set up so that the humidity in the cage is 80%, and spray his shell down a few times a day with just normal water. He will grow smooth if you make those changes, (if you don't do that already)
Yes, there is pyramiding starting. Its not only from humidity.. its from a few things. Humidity is one of them for sure. 80% and above is ideal, a good diet of good leafy greens and grasses. Exercise.. and natural sunlight, as much as you can provide. These things will help stop the process, but not correct what is already there...
