Hi all
Does anyone raise Easterns in the Deep South ? I have a few and this is their 1st Winter in South Florida. What passes for Winter here is mostly lower humidity , less rain , 70-80f and sunny days but down in the 40s-50s at night.

We might have an occasional freeze , but not in the last few years.

Gets kinda cool by mid December till March then back to the heat.
Does anyone have any experience with Eastern box turtle's in Florida ? I am curious as to whether or not I should expect them to disappear underground for several months -thanks

My boxies go under in November and pop back up around March.
While mild, our winters do have quite a few freezing nights.

I kinda expect mine to do the same thing. I'm making sure there is plenty of hides , cover and digging areas with loose dirt.

I don't have any experience in Florida with easterns but have had gulf coast X Florida crosses slow down from Dec thru March but not entirely "go down" like others.
