I have two russian torts and wanted to know if both of these plants were okay. One is a Japanese boxwood, the other (with the flowers) I'm not sure about. Does anybody know what it is and if either is edible or dangerous? ImageUploadedByTortForum1389471630.601185.jpg

If you'd like browse a list of tortoise-friendly plants, I'd check out thetortoisetable.org.uk . They have a really extensive list. Sorry I can't help you identify the plants you already have. I don't have much knowledge in that area. :p

They do! I love that website. I've printed off several of the pages and put them into a binder so I can have it wherever, whenever.

Thank you both!!
By the way, how exactly do you link another thread like that? Do I have to be on a computer?

I haven't tried going onto the forums with a mobile device, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. I just copied and pasted the link into my post. You might be able to do that with a mobile device if you look at the website in full mode, instead if they modify it for mobile viewing.

2 looks like canary island sage: Salvia canariensis

one of the plants in 3 is a crassula aka jadeplant...the other succulent grayish colored one in the background looks like a Euphorbia, but one of the spurges native to parts of Europe/asia minor...the plant in the foreground to the right of the jadeplant appears to be some sort of Lamiaceae

Picture 5 looks like an Artemisia...possibly southernwood. If so it will have a pungent smell

some of it is probably unpalatable, but some of it might be stuff they'd like. tortoisetable should be able to sort it out for you
