Our Indian Star laid eggs several months (March) ago and still have not hatched. Any advice on what to do? The eggs have not collasped or lost any weight. Any Indication if the eggs are viable? How long do we wait?

Thanks

Hi,
What temperature are you incubating at? I have heard of eggs taking that long if incubated at low temperatures. Have you looked in the eggs with a small flashlight in a dark room?

Hi

The air tempearture is 31C. Tried to look with light but had difficulties seeing anything. If they were dead, would the eggs collaspe?

Thanks

Tortoise eggs don't collapse :) They either dry up inside or explode :p
Did they ever turn a white color or did they stay pink or yellowy?
At 31C they should have hatched at around 75 days if they were good.

At first they were yellow/pinkish and later on developed a midline. Now white. You can see some blood vessels in the walls.

Thanks

If you can see blood vessels now, I'd just keep going with them till they explode.

It sounds like the little one died early on in incubation. :(
