The more I read on the tortoise forum the more I realise I need to know.
I have downloaded photos of my eight, I assume they are Greek tortoises and. I can tell I have two females and six males.
I noticed that Speedys shell is different from the others, I wonder if she is suffering from Pyramiding...she is fed on the same foods , but she does have a tendency to eat small stones.

Those are all Greeks. The stones may be a sign that they are lacking certain minerals. Greeks are best fed on a grass and weed diet. Grass has lots of calcium, phosphorus and iron I it.

Crush is doing fine He still has the external fixation but it doesn't interfere with his abilities in any way.
He has a favourite spot in the garden under a lavender bush when he isn't wandering around eating.
He was run over and found on the road and brought into the animal shelter where I volunteer. He has several injuries but manages very well.
From the look of his shell I feel he might have had quite a hard existence before he came to us.
His story has been published in a couple of newspapers in Cyprus

Ok, sorry for the delay, super busy here with nesting season. Not getting enough time for other things.

Old Codg is definitely T. g. ibera

Lightening and Lucas look to be possible young T. g. ibera possibly a southern form of Turkish ibera (former antakyensis). They resemble some of mine from this area just smaller.

Toni appears to be T. g. terrestris

Speedy is T. g. ibera

Crush I need better photos of
but he may be former antakyensis as well.

Kylie and Stark both look to be former antakyensis.

The only ones I am 100% on is Old Codg and Toni. Unfortunately without bona fide background and paperwork we can never really know with certainty. I hope this helps at least a little. The Greek tortoises are even more confusing then the Hermann's as far as taxonomy goes.

Thankyou very much for the information , at this busy time.
The tortoises are all rescued or adopted so we have no paperwork or history so your help as been invaluable.
They are all well and enjoy living in the garden.
Thankyou again
