So it has been awhile since I have posted, & It's unfortunate that I come back with bad news.
The Central american wood turtle i took in earlier this year passed away today. :(
I am pretty sure it was a combination of not wanting to eat and today's 103f weather. By the time i got home from work, she was already gone.
I tried soooo hard to get her to be stable to only have her pass away on me. I feel really guilty- i wish i could have done more to save her.
She has been laid to rest. RIP lovely turt.

:( :( :(

I'm very sorry to hear this. The weather is miserable today, isn't it? I had to bring in all my little tortoises and my rabbits. You did your best with her, that's all anyone can ask.

I'm sorry for your loss and am sure that in doing the best you can, there is grief without fault. Be at ease in your heart.

Wah. That is so sad. I think it's especially hard with tortoises and turtles because they are supposed to live so much longer than mammals, so you get your mind set on having them around your whole life.

I'm very sorry, Abe. :(

I am very sorry for your loss. I have lost some turts and torts, and its always hard, and you are always wondering wondering what else you could of done. I take everytime as a precious learning opportunity to not let it happen again to another animals. It will just take time to try to heal the pain, but she will always be in your memory. Just remember the happy times.

That's such a downer. At least you gave her a happy, healthy life and did the best you could for her. I'm sorry for your loss.
