    I don’t want to criticize any tortoise species and owners but honestly I think Russian tortoises are the most bland looking tortoise and usually people only get them because of there size

    I don't have enough experience. I do like Sulcata's as they are so big, but I love my Bowsprits.

    i have a sulcata and think they are great but I also like the aldabra's for their size and they seem to have great personalities also.

    For me the Indotestudo Elongatas and Indian Star Tortoises. But I saw Black Mountain or Brown Mountain Tortoises a few weeks ago and liked them very much. But I have no experience with them.
