I agree with Mark, Burmese stars are my favorite. They are attractive, medium sized tortoises, hardy species, very personable, and are just plain awesome.

A close second is the Indian Star Tortoise.

My favourite Tortoise species would be the Russian/Horsefield Tortoise (the same species as my Tortoise). My other favourites may be Red-Foot Tortoise, Pancake Tortoise and Spur-thighed Tortoise.

I like them all. But the ones that get very large just have that primitive Jurassic Park look about them lumbering about.
