So it took a few weeks since we only had the weekend to work on it, and thank goodness my boyfriend the "real tortoise owner" helped me for all of the grunt work that had to be done :D:D So i have pictures from start to finish not as many pictures of the process as i wanted but ill explain it all.

We found a nice sunny area we want to clear and the ground was very hard, for days before we watered the ground to soften it but this was by far the most difficult park we had to do

So we went to home depot and got almost everything, alot of zipties and wood, and pot for the hide. My dad already had extra fencing so we used that instead of buying a brand new fence.

We dug up a barrier that we placed wood in all around about a foot deep along with digging some of the fence in the ground too.

We worked through the night as best as we could.

We were going to get a wire mesh fence but instead we got this garden fence with small holes and made sure everything is very tight and secure. I also had extra bricks to make a path way.

We put the fence all around the top and on the sides so nothing can get in!

Our fence does have a swinging door and we secured every inch and then did the interior. PS. We didnt leave all the zipties like that :p

I'm growing some food trays for them and i want to add a plant or two, I just need to find plants i can buy that don't have chemicals on it from the store.

The space on the right is what im leaving empty because im building a little house for them to go in at night or when they get cold.

You've put a lot of hard work into that. I'm wondering why you dug up the grass though. Grass is what they eat.

Look at those cute little stubby legs. I'll bet they're so happy to be outside FREE!!

I love the close up butt shot. :):tort::) Will look so awesome once you get plants in there. :) In the future, keep an eye on those zip ties breaking and following on the ground. I have them in a box turtle enclosure and after a few years, they are starting to do a lot of breaking/falling off.

Looks like they spent a lot of time checking out every inch of it. I was wondering for a second if you remembered a door for yourself:D

Very nice. I planted some plantain in my desert tortoise enclosure. It is the kind that has huge leaves. I like it a lot as it offers shade and also is a food source. I ordered my seeds from Carolinapetsupply.com. It will re-seed itself each year so you only have to buy the seeds one time. I also have a rose bush, a hibiscus bush and grape vine in my enclosure. The torts love rose petals, hibiscus flowers and grape leaves. Also these offer shade.
