Fir Wood Smell in enclosure(HELP!!!)

I purchased a Tortoise House from Zoomed and it has a wood smell to it. I tried airing it out but the smell is still there. Will it be ok for my Russian tortoise to be in there with a Fir Wood odor?
My tortoise is five inches long, he’s a young adult I think by the way.
I read that Fir Wood is ok for tortoise table enclosures but I don’t know about the smell.

Welcome to the forum!

The wood should be fine, but those enclosures are much too small for an adult Russian. They are a very active species and in the wild, roam great distances in search for food. 4x8' is the recommended minimum.
