She had her front down, and her butt in the air. I walked up to her, and she started to lay an egg! I caught it dropping out of her without it hitting the ground!
I have a question. I put it in with the other ones, and they do not appear to be colored any differently. I have a feeling they did not chalk up. They are about two weeks old. Should they have chalked by now? I hovered my phone's light over them and I did not see a vein or other growth. I know it is common for first year layers to not lay fertile eggs, so I know it is far from guaranteed. I'm going to keep them there until they stink. But what are your thoughts everyone?
