hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. I have had turtles and tortoises for almost 17 years. Currently I only have a musk turtle as I lost my cherry head after 14 years. I'm doing research for my next tortoise (can I call everything a turtle please? lol) which will probably be a leopard but I'm not in a rush. I like that this type of forum is available. I like seeing people enjoying the hobby. I also like that I was doing so many things right before I knew about the turtle groups lol. I love to chat so don't be afraid to say hi!

I think a leopard but it's been a long time since I have had a baby turtle so I'm doing slow. What do you have?

Hello and Welcome. Sorry about the loss of your CH.
Thanks. That was terrible. She came with pneumonia and an RI. I nursed her back to health but I'm sure that's what inevitably lead to her early departure. Funny story, she was a he actually. She was too small to sex when I got her and just never bothered to correct the pronoun lol. My rosie FB_IMG_1527817637685.jpeg

I have two Sulcatas... it seems that they have take. Over my life.. lol. I love it!
I would love a sulcata but they get so big. They look like little scoops of vanilla ice cream when they are little!

I read the how to raise a healthy sulcata article and I was super impressed. I knew hatchlings needed higher humidity levels but no one could tell me why. I am looking forward to what I'll learn next. Thinks!
