In Florida, would the heat and humidity be too high for Redfoots and Yellowfoots,
during the summer months.

No, they do just fine. I keep mine (juveniles and adult cherryheads)outside during the day, just make sure they have water and plenty of shade ( actually, the more shade you have the better). Be careful with hatchlings though, I almost lost one when I left him out in the sun with no shade to hide. It was scary, he started like foaming out of his mouth, so I sprayed a lot of water on him, took him inside, put him in room temp bath to lower temp. He made it just fine, no long term effects or impairments, but you have to be careful with hatchlings. Sometimes when it is very hot, I let the sprinklers run, and if it is uber hot, I keep them inside, when it is over 100.

Is the question would it be too hot in a garage during the summer months?
If so, YES.
Anything over about 90 degrees send mine looking for shade or cool water.
My garage gets well over 100 degrees.
Outside there is no concern as long as you have an enclosure with plenty of shade available.
Redfoot do not like it very hot or very bright and will spend lots of time attempting to avoid both. In an enclosed garage they can't do either.

I should of been more specific. During the hottest months of the summer
in Florida, is a closed garage or shed too hot and humid to overnight
a Yellowfoot or Redfoot in Florida. Not during the early morning to late
evening when they would be out in the enclosed backyard, but strictly
overnight, closed in and safe. Our shed and garage are like a swamp
at nightime. During the day is 10x worse, but at night, it's no picnic.

Get a reliable thermometer and see.
Maybe a cheap box fan, too.
Don't let the temps be above say 88.
I think that should be very doable at night.
I live in so. FLORIDA, too.
Night temps aren't too hot.
Ideally you want a night time temperature drop.

I'm curious as to why you want to move your tortoise to a shed/garage for nighttime housing? Is this going to be a young tortoise?
