I got my baby at one-month-old, it hatched on May 18, 2018. I've had it for a couple of months and I must say starting with a baby makes the Tort unspoiled, healthy (hopefully) and happy and ready to get to know its caregiver. Over the last couple of months my baby Tort, Shelby, has shown me how smart it appears to be. Here are it's weight and measurements from the day I got it till this week on the same day each month
6-12-18 received in mail.
Weight 40gr length of shell 3 1/4"
7-12-18
Weight 51gr length of shell 3 1/4"
8-12-18
Weight 59gr length of shell 3 1/4" width 31/2" (newly taking shell width)
It appears that the legs and head have doubled in size. Growth is consistent.
I give it a soaking in warm water every day, this morning I let her sleep in, when I went to check on it and feed it, there it is for the second time I missed the morning soak this is what it does, gets in a little water dish soaking it's self. One time I thought it is cute but two times, I am sure it is smarts. It missed it'a soak so it took it's own.
