Recently my local fish store began stocking frozen clams. These are small clams about an inch in length. I purchased a four ounce package for my DBTs and these were received with great enthusiasm . They finish the meat off within five minutes and munch on shells periodically afterward. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this food for their DBTs, maps or other mollusk eaters.

I have an alive clam in my tank. Do you take out the meat in the frozen ones or just plop them in?

I just plop them in and let the turtle remove the meat as it would in the wild.

Don't forget there is a relationship between the size of the turtle and size of clam. The clams I feeding are an inch size and the turtles are about four inches.
