Hey Guys, I have a 1 1/2- 2 year old Sulcata Tortoise name Todd && Im trying to look for some new things to feed him. Right now I feed him Romane Lettuce, yellow squash, and carrots. But i wanna mix it up alittle. && I was also wondering if a normal heating pad would be good as far as keeping him warm during the night while i bring him in the house? I have a pic below. He seem pretty relax on the heating pad. lol He seems to love it but im not sure if its helping him. So please please give me some food ideas && let me know about the heating pad:) Thanks guys! :Dtodd.jpg

I have alot of reviews but not any posts lol

Household heating pads are at best water resistant, not water proof. You want water proof from the spills and animal wastes. There are lots of food threads posted here, do a search and you find them. Are you misting your tortoise daily? That would be another concern for the heating pad to fail causing harm to your tortoise, yourself, or even your house!

Weeds,, Spring Mix salad, grape leaves...

try a Stanfield heat mat,, and a CHE for nighttime heat too. No light.
Be sure to read A LOT in the sulcata section...

You can feed him fruit like around once every 2 weeks, mostly strawberries an apple's. Cactus fruit is fine 2 times a week.
