'food' soaks?

Some where on the forum the other day, I saw some pics of some young tortoises being soaked in carrot juice, and today I read something about 'baby food soaks"

I hadn't really encountered this before- is this just used for young or ill torts?

It is used for tortoises that are ill and not eating. The theory is that the Vitamin A in the carrot or yam baby food is drunk or absorbed while they soak, and its supposed to help them get better and give them a little boost.
