Noticed scales on the bottom of his front foot have worn off exposing skin. The skin isn't broken or infected. What can I expect in terms of healing? Will scales grow back? ED2E51CD-468E-416B-BA90-AD05C2A24EEB_1_201_a.jpeg

It will callous over and heal in time, but you must figure out the cause and prevent it from doing further damage. Is the tortoise living on concrete?

What do the rest of his feet look like? That raw spot is telling you there's something wrong in his habitat.

You can try dabbing on some Neosporin then place a gauze pad over the spot and hold it in place with Gorilla tape. But that's a hard place for anything to stick.

He's been inside for the last month or two due to cold/wet winter. It must have happened last summer, when he was living in a temporary enclosure that had dirt but also cinder blocks around the perimeter. He does 'dig' a lot, trying to escape any enclosure, so it may have happened then. We are in the process of redoing his habitat, and he will be living in a nice heated shed with a linoleum floor and his outside environment will be the entire backyard, which includes dirt, grass, tile, and pavers.

I'd bet he wore it off trying to climb the cement blocks. If his back feet are also this way there's probably another problem.
