    They can, but it should only be a small part of the diet, once in a while.

    I have read same question “To feed green bean or not to feed green beans”. 2011ur answers where basically the same. Tortoise101says not to much protein to much phosphorous/and to little calcium not recommended
    But the most part feed green bean”occasionally” not all the time:)

    Like most vet info, it is mostly wrong. Fruits and vegetables to simulate their natural diets? Tortoises are almost exclusively herbivores and meat is controversial? What about RFs, YFs, elongata, forstens, kinixys, etc...

    I think it's a generic article, Tom. But for a new tortoise keeper it could be very misleading.

    Drs. Foster and Smith is a retail store. They're in business to sell things and make money. I take anything written about animal care by stores like them with a grain of salt. Yes, some of the info is correct, but a lot of it is misleading.

    I bought a bale of coastal/Bermuda hay for my 2 year old is this okay to feed I have been mixing with half mazuri and half hay

    IMG_1542069347.722682.jpg that is description of broad leaf testudo mix, how long does it take to grow??? I’m stressing over food for my Daisy when the cold kills all the weeds, I was looking for clover seed but it’s not on tortoise supply website
