Very cool, they seem right at home. Do you have any problems with them trying to eat te ferns?

The whole thing was originally 20x8 feet, then separated into three sections which collectively house 2.2 animals. Eventually, if I add more forstenii, I'll probably double the length of it. The first picture is probably around 8x8'-8x9' and houses one single male. It's the nicest looking, most planted one, so I think he's happy with it, haha.

Never had them eat any of my plants. They're welcome to, of course.

South Florida. Climate works out well for most chelonian species. My cyclura sure love it as well. Ideally we could do without those pesky 40-ish degree nights though….

Few pics of my male on an afternoon that was particularly to their liking. Out of all 4 he is the friendliest and least shy of my presence.

Strawberry on the mouth there ;).

All 4 animals are still doing fantastic. They've all slowed down considerably and lost a little weight due to the winter, but this is to be expected with the cooler weather. The temp's still get into the high 70's and low 80's daily, so they only have to come in at night. The disturbance has still had an affect on them though.

Great enclosure. looks great the weather is crazy I agree with you we already had a frost and hit 31 degrees in Florida. I agree with you some animals that are fine going in and out. It was 42 this morning some russians are active some will be dug in until March or April. Next three days weather will be in 80's then high in 50's and low in mid 30's. I forgot to say we are dry ,but rain predicted after 30's. I only bring russians in if it is cold and wet.
my FL chickens are confused about nesting right now. People up North have groundhog day I say the South should have gopher tortoise day.
I say put it on a t-shirt front has groundhog and gopher tortoise on back or visa-versa.

you 17 and you own these amazing tortoise!!!! your so lucky :D!

A lot of time has gone into these guys, but yes I am indeed lucky, and thankful for it every day. Caring for these amazing pieces of nature is often the high point of my day!

I just realized that I've never shared any pics of the females. Taking weights today, here is the big girl.
