Dear HerpDigest,

The chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) is the most significant threat to the world's montane amphibian populations, having driven approximately 100 species to complete extinction in recent decades. On Wednesday September 11th, 2013 from 11am-12pm San Francisco time, SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger will provide an overview of the chytrid fungus and discuss his Ph.D. research on the ecology of chytridiomycosis in Eastern Australia.

Please register now for this free online class at:

We will be joined by guest presenter Susan Jewell of the United States Fish & Wildlife Service. Susan will discuss the Lacey Act and other USFWS efforts related to the chytrid fungus. We will discuss ways to stop the spread of this deadly disease and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. You can find a complete list of Dr. Kriger's chytrid publications here.

This free online class is brought to you by SAVE THE FROGS! Academy, the world's greatest source of free amphibian conservation knowledge.
