I've been using water to hydrate my Mazuri food for my tortoise. I've recently read some people use fruit juice. Anyone have experience with this and if so, what juice do you recommend?

I think it depends on why you want to use the fruit juice - I've done this if an animal won't eat a food (Mazuri, ZooMed, etc) but I don't think I'd do it just because. I've think I've used watermelon juice the most.

Hi Eddie:

I buy a gallon bottle of Aloe vera juice at Wal-Mart and use that to hydrate my Mazuri Tortoise Diet. If I were feeding it to the Yellow and Redfooted tortoises I wouldn't hesitate to use fruit juice, providing it was pure with no sugar or additives.
