I have noticed some marks on my baby sulcatas shell...
Im new into sulcatas...
I mean... I do have more tortoises, but this is the first time I own a sulcata...
Is this normal? or is it some kind of fungus?
Im keeping him just exactly as the " How To Raise Sulcata Hatchlings and Babies" care sheet says so....

here is a picture...

Are you talking about the dark marks? Do they rub off with a toothbrush? Hard to tell from a picture...

Are talking about the white squiggly lines ? If so don't know where they come from but are normal and will fad away as he grows

Yep. We have had some threads on this before. It's normal stuff. I tend to see it more after my babies have been outside sunning it the dry air here. Usually by the end of their post sunning soak the squiggly lines are a lot less noticeable.

Some people believe that those "channels" might have something to do with pyramiding and/or shell hydration. I don't really know what they are, but they are totally normal. You can see then other species too, but they are most noticeable in sulcatas in my experience.

oh, im not talking about the brown area..
If you guys look in the center of the scute some white circles can be seen...
this guy does takes natural sunlight everyday... but it has a nice humid place to hide away from it too...
I also soak him everyday for 20 minutes or so...

Neither am I.

I am speaking of the "white circles".

They tend to be associated with growth and are common and not a negative indicator of health as we understand it. Any further conclusion is not exactly heavy with evidence at present.
