Getting a red foot in 2 weeks

A book I thought was helpful was Mike Pingleton's "The Redfoot Manual". Good info on heat,humidity, Lighting,Health,enclosures feeding and lots more.
Well! Isn't that a cop out.
A bit! Haha. I asked him about their care and he told me books and reading online is the best advice he can give!

any questions you have will be answered. The amount of help and advice I’ve had from the members on here have been amazing. Better than I could ever get from any books. Books have out dated information that could possibly do your tort more harm than good. So much has changed in the care of these beautiful animals over the years.

My feeding regimen is STILL based off of Ernest Johnsons suggestions.
He was a pioneer of Redfoot keeping.he was very helpful to me a long time ago.

AVOID THOSE ANTIQUATED BOOKS.
Information comes in faster than those books can be printed. Especially facts we've learned about humidity and lighting types alone.
Here's your up to date latest condensed information:
Lighting: T5 5.0 florescent UVB strip lamp. (Or weekly sun exposure)
Heating: CHE as needed
Temp: 80 to 86 ambient
Humidity: 70%+
Substrate: Orchid bark
Enclosure: Closed chamber enclosure
Foods: Flowers, leaves, mushrooms, fruits, animal protein including eggs, Mazuri 5M21 chow, weeds, cut vegetables, There are literally hundreds of options.
Or you can cheat like me since you also live in Florida and let your Redfoot live outside and let our almost ideal climate do the hard work.
