We are putting up plexiglass, the rest of the background, and the shower liner inside the hide. Well the torts are in the habitat and we have moved the hide and are putting up the background and Ginger our largest red foot came up and bit my hand. I think she is just irritated at us cause she stays in that hide a lot but I don't know. What does everyone think?

they get curious and bite things, it is normal, I have to hide my toes all of the time from my desert tortoise.

Well I must be cause she kept coming back to taste me and we had to keep moving her to the other end.

Ours have mistaken colors, like orange or red for a food. I do not recall ever one nipping out of irritation.
