Good seed mixture

I am planning my outdoor enclosure for spring and am wondering were i can get a good seed mixture from for redfoot tortoises. i looked at the russian seed mix from carolina pet supply and not sure if that is a good one. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've been looking into this too. I don't know about a mix for redfoots specifically, but I know Terry K. in Tennessee plants a whole forest of rose of sharon for them. The leaves and flowers are good for them to eat, the plant makes great cover and shade and its a seasonally dormant plant, so it should survive your winters too.

Mine go nuts for common mallow & dandelion and will readily eat plantain. Common mallow is usually pretty easy to find outdoors, but if you can't find any seeds (look like donuts on the plant), carolina pet supply sells them in addition to many other plant seeds:

Luckily I have plantain and chickweed and dandelions growing in my yard. Thanks for the help
