The sun being out makes the big difference I think. Snow, cold and no sun, won't heat the tort. But those same conditions with the sun out makes the big difference as the tort still gets heated up.

I followed him around with a temp gun the whole time. I was curious at what temp he'd head back in. The magic number was 70F. I'm going to do the same thing a few more times as circumstances allow and see if there's any consistency.
