Hello,
I would like to just thank you all for having me here, ive been researching tortoises for as long as I could remember, I am a proud owner of four 2 year old horse field (Russian) tortoises. I'm keen on looking for more reliable sources for information and I feel like this forum will be able to give me that extra help.

Thank you,
Kerryanne

Hello and welcome from Kent (England)

We are fortunate to have species experts on TFO who have written care guides to share their knowledge.

They’re working hard to correct the outdated information widely available on the internet and from pet stores and sadly from some breeders and vets too.

I recommend you read the following:

Thank you Tom and JoesMum,
I have to agree with the amount of controversial and conflicting advice that is out there. Over the years I have learnt a lot, I love the idea of providing a naturalistic life style as much as possible. So I am totally with the idea of weeds (and some shop brought items due to weeds not always being available).
