Greetings from Monterey Bay, CA

Hi Folks,

Just found this welcome area. I hale from Monterey Bay area California. I love all creatures and respect them highly. We "rescued" a little tortoise from a local pet shop. Turns out to be a Testudo graeca ibera. We have him set up in a large enclosure in my greenhouse. He now has a 100w T-Rex, CHE, basking rock, coconut substrate, Timothy Hay playground and a nice variety of food. He is very active and loves to eat.

Hi Sharon and a big offical WELCOME sounds like your setup for your Tgi is going well. FYI, It is suggested not to use heat rocks with the smaller torts. Seems they can get really hot and actually burn them before the tort even notices it. Again Welcome.
