Hi all!
We got a new red foot tortoise about a month and a half ago. All seemed well until about a week ago when she became super sluggish, wasn’t walking around as much and was just burrowing and staying burrowed for the day. We took her to the vet and he gave her a vitamin shot and didn’t really seem to care about setup. We want to take her back since it’s been a few days and it’s getting worse, but I don’t know if another shot will help. She was a good eater before this. Pics of set up attached.

Most people on this forum do not agree with the vitamin shots given by vets. What are you feeding?
Few other questions.
How big is your tort? those disc thermometers are not very accurate, and it looks like your digital one is directly under what I'm assuming is a humidifier? What lighting/ heating elements do you use? If that is a screen top, any UV lights will not penetrate. What is your soaking routine?

Let's see if we can get some red foot experts to help you out. @Anyfoot @ZEROPILOT

I moved the digital to the other end and humidity is still around 90%. The discs are just there for show at this point. She is 78 grams between 4-7 months. Feeding mixture of fruit and leafy greens (mustard greens, kale, mango, strawberry). We tried an egg, no go. She did fine the first month would come out and eat, now nothing.
We sprinkle with calcium several times a week. Previously, we had a combination heat/uvb lamp that was inside the tank. It was massive. We don’t know if that gave her too much uvb.

Have you tried Mazuri or any other pelleted tortoise food? Soak the pellets till they soften up, then toss them with some finely chopped dandelion or collard greens, add some raddicchio (my torts have always LOVED that one!) Do you know what she likes? Or better yet, what she adores to eat and ansolutely can’t resist? Offer only her favorites to her until she gets her eating routine back on track. My RF girl always LOVED fruit and good mushrooms (like chantarelles and other good forest ones, not the white ones or the creminis, I don’t give those), and her house-brother Brazilian went crazy for the protein type stuff, his favorite- plain precooked shrimp, finely diced. Keep trying dirrent things. And by all means, do put her in front of her food. I have done that for the first almost 3 yrs since hatchlings, and now mine start coming like puppies when they see me- their „food goddess”. I hope yours gets over this little hump. Sending my good thoughts your way:)
