I need some help in how to hang the lights and heat lamps in the closed chamber I am building. I want to keep it entirely closed so I want the whole heat lamp inside. Yea it will be on a thermostat.

I attached a general picture of the inside as it is now, I can get a closer pic later if needed.

Thanks in advanced!ImageUploadedByTortForum1380283468.856331.jpg

Should add that there is a front door on it now. That was before it was hung up ImageUploadedByTortForum1380283555.435961.jpg

I hang my lights from their cords with rubber coated coffee cup hooks. I would put your CHE on a thermostat for ambient temperature maintenance, but I'd put the heat lamp on a timer. You'll have to use a small enough wattage flood bulb to keep from raising the ambient too much. Maybe a 35-50 watt.

What species is this for? What size/age tortoise?

It is a redfoot, just over 2, a little over 4 inch SCL.

Right now in his enclosure, makeshift rubbermaid tub, I just have a CHE on a thermostat and a normal plant/aquarium tube light. He does get outside time every week.

That setup works for the small enclosure but this one is much bigger, 4x6x3, so I probably need more
