Hi,
We got a Greek from a store about 4 weeks ago. When he came there where some chips/peels on the shell, which didn't appear too serious. But I recently noticed that there are 2 small white spots on the shell. It looks like the outer layer chipped off, revealing the hard white part below. I attached a photo of one spot. The shell looks essentially the same as when he arrived, except for the white spot.

Any idea what could cause this? Thanks.

That's a spot of bone showing through from an old injury. Lots of tortoises get these type injuries and it is usually nothing to worry about.

(Would you please satisfy my OCD and tell me if your username is "i"crane or "L" crane? Thanks!)
