Hay..... is not just for horses!!

What type of hay do you offer your torts? Is there one type that's better than the others nutritionally? I've found rye/vetch mixes, orchard grass, timothy, pasture grass etc... I'm not sure which to buy a bail of. I usually get timothy hay.

Any of the grass hays is fine. Personally, I like the orchard grass hay. Its usually really sweet-smelling and nice and soft.

Timothy is the most fiber-rich...orchard is the tastiest...probably best to avoid alfalfa as its the most protein-rich.
