Hay. . . to feed or not to feed to CDT?

Do you feed hay to your CDTs? If so what is the best hay to offer, alfalfa, orchard, timothy??

Not sure to be honest, they were found in the backyard by the owner of the parent tortoises. So they are not sure when they hatched. Yolk is absorbed and umbilicus is closed up, egg tooth is gone. They are about 53g in weight. Does that help age them?

I've never fed hay to a CDT. Not even an adult. If I was inclined to try it, I'd cut the hay with scissors in to more manageable sized pieces and soak it to soften it up before mixing it with their greens.

Weeds, leaves, flowers and succulents of the right types are best.
