For heating an indoor enclosure can I use a regular house light bulb or is there a specific kind I should use?

Are you making a basking spot or just adding heat in general to a closed chamber?

For a basking spot, I use regular flood bulbs indoors. My tortoises also get daily sunshine outside too, so I have no need for any UV bulbs. If your tortoise never gets outside, you might need a different strategy.

For a basking spot. I use a regular 60watt for my bearded dragon and it works really well so I thought I could use one for a tortoise.

So if it goes outside daily I won't need a UVA/UVB bulb?
