Hi all!
As my Indian Star Tortoise Yoda keeps growing rapidly (currently 1.5 years old, appr. 200 g), we're planning on building her a new enclosure soon. We will be making a completely closed chamber, as the climate here isn't suitable to maintain the correct levels of heat and humidity.
We're making the assumption for now that she is female, as we want to make an enclosure that is suitable for the maximum size this species is going to get. However, we're unsure about the height, as we don't know how high her shell is going to be and what the recommended level of substrate is.
So I'm looking for some recommendations! What do you think is the minimum necessary height of the new enclosure, taking into account substrate, her shell height, and distance to the lamps/CHE?
Thanks!
