Hey all! I'm Octayvia and my fiance and I currently have a marginated tortoise, a Russian tortoise, a RES, 3 bearded dragons, 2 cats, and 2 dogs! You guys know your stuff here and I'm very happy to have found this forum!! One question I do have is how do you guys keep your humidity above 50 at night for your tortoises?

Thank you!!

Also, are these thermometers/humidity gauges usually accurate or should I replace them?

Welcome to the forum!

I’d ask your question in the enclosures forum, although I don’t think grown Russians or marginateds require that much humidity? You could also post that question in the subforums specific to each of those species.

Keep in mind high humidity with low temps is considered a bad combination leading to respiratory issues. So overnight higher humidity means over night higher temps as well. Often the go hand in hand with a more enclosed enclosure, but not always.
