Wow that's a young one - can still see the egg tooth. Are the eyes opening?
Hopefully you've already given it a nice warm soak. There is some great advice for Sulcata keepers here: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/index.php?threads/How-To-Raise-A-Healthy-Sulcata-Or-Leopard,-Version-2.0.79895/
Good luck with your new baby!
We had a feeling she is still very young. Her eyes were not open all the way that just happened this last week/week and a half. We had big issues with getting her to eat at first. But she is doing good now we soak her every day and weigh her every day and she is doing good..
Are her eyes still not open all the way? What are your temperatures, highs and lows, and humidity? What kind of light bulbs are you using? Glad to hear that she's eating for you now.
They are open now they weren't when we got her. Temps are 70 & 95 we have a uvb and a heat light humidity we do a wet moss and wet dirt.
We have to call her a girl we don't want the guys in the house out numbering us lol
Welcome to the forum. If she is not opening her eyes, she is not doing good. Need to figure out why. Info on temps and equipment will help identify the possibilities. Pictures are great too.
We just dont want the guys in the house out numbering us lolWelcome
Its not possible to tell if she really is a girl yet but we all like to give our torts a gender that we want them to be
Before everyone keeps commenting on the previous statement when we got her and for approximately 2 week after her eyes were barely open HOWEVER now she is bright eyed and bushy tailed.. And IS doing VERY well!!
