Wow that's a young one - can still see the egg tooth. Are the eyes opening?

Hopefully you've already given it a nice warm soak. There is some great advice for Sulcata keepers here: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/index.php?threads/How-To-Raise-A-Healthy-Sulcata-Or-Leopard,-Version-2.0.79895/

Good luck with your new baby!

We had a feeling she is still very young. Her eyes were not open all the way that just happened this last week/week and a half. We had big issues with getting her to eat at first. But she is doing good now we soak her every day and weigh her every day and she is doing good..

Are her eyes still not open all the way? What are your temperatures, highs and lows, and humidity? What kind of light bulbs are you using? Glad to hear that she's eating for you now.

Welcome to the forum. If she is not opening her eyes, she is not doing good. Need to figure out why. Info on temps and equipment will help identify the possibilities. Pictures are great too.

Your low is too low for a sulcata hatchling. Bring that 70F up to 80F. She will get sick if she is kept too cold.

Hello and welcome! this is a very caring and Tort crazy group here.... They all mean well and want to be sure your pet is OK.... Maybe an updated pic of the bright eyed little beauty will take care of that!

Hatchlings can be very difficult, so please read the posted care sheets that were compiled by experts here. Unfortunately, there is a lot of bad and out dated information around.

Best of luck to you and your new girl!
