Hello everyone,
My name is Matteo and I live in Northern Italy.
I breed exotic tortoises since 1998.
I am interested in particular in the genus Kinixys.
Currently I breed Kinixys belliana nogueyi, K.b.zombensis, K.lobatsiana, K.homeana(small), Malacochersus tornieri and Testudo hermanni boettgeri

I also like turtles, (currently I breed: Clemmys guttata, Sternotherus odoratus, Malaclemys terrapin terrapin(juveniles) and Mauremys reevesii(juveniles)) and lizards (currently I breed: Pogona vitticeps, Pogona henrylawsonii, Uromastyx achantinura, Uromastyx geyri and Uromastyx dispar maliensis).
My compliments to the forum!
I show you photos of some of my animals, soon I will present them in new topics.
Sorry for my bad English.

So we would love details, what are you using for incubating and at what temps?

I think so, in Italy there are a lot of belliana nogueyi wild caught(most adults) but unfortunately I think that most of them die in wrong hands.
Here only nogueyi and homeana(juveniles) are easy to find, erosa are difficult to find, lobatsiana, zombensis, spekii, domerguei are near impossible to find

For the belliana I use moist vermiculite(ratio: 2:1 vermiculite/water), 80/90% humidity and 82.5/84.2°F temperature.
When the eggs are close to hatch, I increase the humidity to 100%
The eggs hatch in 120/160 days.

My nogueyi females lay eggs in middle november/december end , they can have two deposition. The maximum number of eggs that I have in one deposition is of 4 .
My zombensis lay eggs in december end/ early january.

The Nogueyi's eggs are more spherical (1.3"x1.53") and weight about 0.7oz.
My zombensis eggs are elongated (1.1"x1.53") and weight 0.56oz, the female that I have is small, about 1.32lbs.

Sorry again for my bad English, I hope I have done the conversions (grams/oz ecc..)correctly.

Thank you for the detailed info-its great to learn what others are doing.Keep up the good work! The photos were great-especially hatching babies!! Its funny in Canada I'm more likely to find a Spekii over the Nogueyi. Not sure why.
