I have several aquatic turtles: two red eared sliders (a male and female) that I've had for for 16 years, a male Mississippi map turtle for 9 years, a female Florida peninsula cooter for 9 years. All came from pet stores and were juveniles when I adopted them. I have one 13 year old male ornate box turtle that I've owned for 12 years and another 10 year old male ornate I adopted last year. We recently added two 8-9 year old female ornate box turtles to the mix. And rounding out the turtle herd are two 18 month old three toed box turtles we've had since last summer. All currently live indoors, but I will be constructing an outdoor pen this spring for the box turtles and hope to add a pond to our back yard this summer for the aquatic turtles.
