Hello fellows tortoise lovers! I am new to this forum and have been the owner of two baby star tortoises named ayu(male) and Urja(Female) for over week now and am always eager to learn more about how to better care for my friend:) I have been trying to quit bad habit of fellows Friends owner of tortoises to feed them wrong things.spread information as i get.

I want to see these babies turn into large slowly and fit to survive.

I should warn you that tortoises are not social animals. Both males and females are very territorial and don't need, want or particularly like company. Another tortoise is competition for food and space. Bullying, both mental and physical, are common and the bullied tortoise can become very sick indeed. For this reason we do not recommend keeping them as pairs. They are much happier and healthier kept separately. If you want to breed them, introduce them to mate and then separate them again.
