I have been researching sulcata tortoise for many years and finally decided that life was actually stable enough now to fully provide for one! We are a military family so we have moved quite a but and fairly often. We are now in Mississippi and love it here so we don't plan on moving after retirement! Our little one came in yesterday and we are all SMITTEN! His name is jörmungandr but we will call him jorgi (yorgi) for short. It is the great beast of Norse mythology. I plan on eventually getting many different types of turtles and torts but we started with my favorite first. Thank you all for the great information you have provided these many years. I never did an intro before because I didn't have my tort yet. Here is a picture of little jorgi.
