Hi! My name is Juan and I just recently came across this website while trying to figure out if guavas were good for my tortoise. My wife gave it some and it ate the seeds so I freaked out! Luckily, this website was here to calm me down. I have a red foot tortoise and I’m glad that I’ve found this group to guide me as a tortoise parent!

Hi Juan, and Welcome!

Yes, feeding the guava, seeds and all, is ok for your RF tortoise!

Yes.
Fruit can be a large part of your Redfoots diet.
During the summer months (or whenever fruit is very plentiful and inexpensive) it can be a majority of the diet.
But watch out for ants and rats. Fruit attracts unwanted guests.
