I'm a newbie from Arkansas and I had a run in with a Ornate Box turtle and after some research I knew he wouldn't do well in captivity, so we released him back to where he found him. But after that I have my heart set on getting a box turtle ;P. I'm looking for a Eastern Box Turtle or a 3-toed Box Turtle, whichever is recommended for my climate. I'm working on building an outdoor enclosure that is 4x4 (Or 4x5 I forgot) and can be upgraded. It will have room for digging and anything else he/she needs :3

Arkansas has a lot of Box Turles running around. It is one of the few places I have visited that I see so many. Good luck in your search for the right Tort for you. Oh, and welcome to the forum.
