Help growing weeds/plants indoors

Any tips for growing w/o a grow light? Just in a window?

I grew most of my stuff by the sunniest window in my house. No grow lights. This winter, I have to replace all my UVB lights in my tort enclosures, so instead of tossing them I'll use them grow lights.

every time i try to grow grass in containers my chickens would eat it all up

I'm so jealous! When you harvest these, are you just clipping the leaves and leaving the stems or clipping by the dirt on the stems?

I'll let some grow big an pick leafs off an let it regrow an then like Christina said I'll let them munch out of some of the trays while the plants are still young/ Sprouts

Chickens deserve treats, too. What if you cover it with mesh?

Where did you buy your seeds?

I didn't buy my seeds. I harvested them last yr and this yr again. Plantains and common mallow are plentiful, here.
