Our tortoise dobby (we don't know the age) was hibernating for the first time for 2 month this winter (we moved from FLorida to North California) He took his time before hibernating.. to not eat anymore and all went fine. He is totally fit , eats well, runs around (i also put vitamin powder on his food ....unfortunately he only eats apples and salad.
My huge and big concern is that he developped a dark color all over his shell on the rear back (not the distinguished patterns anymore) I'm giving him a warm bath every morning to ensure hydration.
Anyone knows what that could be ?
Thank you and have a great Sunday

Hi "Dobby":

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

What would you like us to call you?

First of all, we're going to need to know what kind of tortoise Dobby is. Maybe the color change is perfectly normal for that specie.
