Okay, I'm going to go a little off-topic and ask for your help to identify this turtle?
My neighbour left it with me and he doesn't know what it is either so I'm trying to look up the internet to find out what he eats, how to take care of him, etc.
Help please? :( :tort: :tort:

Not a map, an Indian roofed turtle (Pangshura tecta). The plastron is a telltale sign. IMO, the plastron is the most unique out of all the aquatic turtles. Definitely a rare species in the U.S. and you're very lucky to have one. :)

By the way, they're a very hardy species of turtle and their care is similar to map turtles.
