Help sexing my star

Hi I have a juvenile indian star tortoise and was wondering his/her sex. I decided it was time to post some pictures of him/her and see what you guys think. From reading Jerry D. Fife's book written on star tortoises my best guess is that he/she is a female. I do know my star has very bad pyramiding, I did not raise him/her that way s/he was bought with the deformities :(

Most juveniles do look female, but that is because they aren't fully developed. A good rule is that if the cloaca is past the plastral ridge, nearer to the tip of the tail, it is a male. You're right, from what I can tell, your tort does look female, but I think 3" is probably too early to tell.

i also think she's a female.... looking at the flat plastron... and the anal scutes are u shaped and broad open...
