Hi all and thank you for letting me join. We have 4 rescue tortoises and need help identifying them. Keep being given different names and want to know for sure. I have attached 3 images of each. One from above, one from the front and one from underneath. Many thanks in advance. ?

Hi and welcome!

I'm not good at identifying between the Hermanns and the Greeks. But I think out of all of them you only have one female, the third one. What happened to #2's front feet?

I'm sending an alert to @SweetGreekTorts for help with the identification.

Oh really? Gosh! We were told they were all male by the vets. The one with the short front legs was picked up by a dog. He had bandages etc on from the vets and after they were removed the vet advised it was safe to house outside again. Sadly he got fly strike and had to have surgery to remove the damaged tissue! Doesn’t slow him down though in any way bless him.

thanks for the help. Most appreciated :)

Please read the advice on how to care for these, and exactly what they are. I though one was Hermanni, but I'm always wrong? But whatever species they are, they look pretty rough to me. I am glad you took them out of a bad situation...now read up on their care, stay here on the forum, read and ask a lot of questions...welcome
