HELP!! WITH 3 TOED BOX TURTLE HABITAT

Peat moss is an excellent substrate. My turtle won't eat worms that fall into his soil/moss substrate (I have to wash them off and feed them with "long pliers) He also has pink slippers that he plays with, every day, for about an hour.
Ok, now I'm starting to think that my turtle really is "special" lol.

I think Tom was warning recently that too much peat moss can result in acidity and shell rot problems. I use coir lately.

It can be mixed with sand too, to break it up some.
